Picture Books Worth Living With
This stack contains recommendations and reviews for children’s picture books. Every picture book featured here is one we genuinely recommend. Some are beloved classics, some are overlooked treasures, and a few may require hunting down a used copy. The best picture books are every bit as rewarding for the adult reading them aloud as they are for the child listening, and that is the standard to which this collection is held. As C. S. Lewis famously observed: “A children’s story that can only be enjoyed by children is not a good children’s story in the slightest.”
