Lizzie Penland has been drawing since childhood and carries her art supplies wherever she goes. If she doesn’t have another suitable medium, she will happily draw on her own arms. She has collected—and drawn—harlequin dolls since her father gifted her with a matching set from New Orleans when she was very young.

Lizzie has a degree in Fine Arts and is the daughter of author CJ Penland. She illustrates most of her mother’s picture and chapter books.
